Cipro (ciprofloxacin) is an antibiotic and it belongs to the category of drugs known as fluoroquinolones and they are drugs that fight bacteria and stop bacterial growth in the body.
Before taking cipro
Do not take cipro if you are also taking tizanidine, also, tell your doctor if you have a history of allergic reaction to an antibiotic, joint problems, kidney disease, epilepsy or seizures. If you have any of these conditions, you may not be able to use cipro or you may need a dosage adjustment or special tests during treatment. Use of this medicine in children or adolescents under age 18 is not recommended. Discuss with your doctor the risks and benefits of giving this medicine to your child.

* increased sensitivity to light and heat
* skin rashes
* muscle pains
* chest discomfort
* allergic reactions for hypersensitive patients
